Unison step up to support the Taupo Lakers

The Hawke’s Bay Power Consumers’ Trust [HBPCT] was established in 1993 to hold the shares in Unison Networks Ltd on behalf of the consumers who are connected to Unison's electricity network in Hawke's Bay. In simple terms, this is generally the areas of the Hastings District Council and the Napier City Council. Unison Networks Limited is the fourth largest electricity lines company in New Zealand and it is the distributor of electricity in Hawke’s Bay, Rotorua and Taupo.

Unison reports sound financial result and improved service reliability

Unison Networks Limited today announced a pre-tax Operating Surplus of $16.8 million for the past financial year along with significant gains in network system performance. Brian Martin, Chairman of the Hastings-based electricity distribution company, whose powerlines networks cover the Hawke’s Bay, Taupo and Rotorua regions, said the board was particularly pleased with the improvement in supply reliability despite testing environmental conditions during the year.
